How HomoDentHealth collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: June 2026
HomoDentHealth ("we", "us", "our") provides a dental symptom-triage and clinic-referral platform. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) date of birth and gender. Your password is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store or can retrieve your plain-text password.
When you use the Symptom Assessment tool, we collect the symptoms, pain descriptions, and medical-history notes you enter, along with the resulting triage result. This information is sensitive, and we treat it accordingly: it is only ever shown to you, the dentist or clinic you book an appointment with, and platform administrators for support and safety purposes.
When you book an appointment, we collect the clinic, date, time, and any notes you provide, along with contact details for that booking (which may differ from your account if you book as a guest or on someone else's behalf).
Messages you send through the Live Chat feature are stored so our support team and clinic staff can respond and so you can see your conversation history.
We automatically log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the service running reliably.
We do not sell your personal or health information to advertisers or third parties.
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Sessions use short-lived signed tokens (JWT). All admin and clinical actions require authentication and role-based authorization. We apply standard protections against common web vulnerabilities (input sanitization, rate limiting on sensitive endpoints, and HTTPS in production).
You can view and update your profile at any time from your dashboard. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by using the "Delete Account" option in your profile settings, or by contacting us at the email below. Some records (e.g. appointment history needed for clinic record-keeping) may be retained for a limited period as required by applicable healthcare record-keeping practice, even after account deletion.
The Symptom Assessment tool provides general guidance based on the information you enter. It is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace an in-person evaluation by a licensed dental professional. In a dental or medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
HomoDentHealth is intended for use by adults booking care for themselves or, where appropriate, on behalf of a minor in their care. We do not knowingly collect account information directly from children.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through our Contact page.
